Owner’s Representative

We like to think of the position of “Owner’s Representative” similar to a project manager. Our firm will work on behalf of our client, overseeing the project (security tasks). We’re the middle man between the client and the vendors.

We find that the Owner’s Representative position is a very valuable one. Some responsibilities of the Owner’s Representative are:

  • Designing the security system. (For internal use or to provide a RFP)
  • Choosing the appropriate equipment. (Provide model numbers if needed)
  • Procure equipment. (If applicable)
  • Vet a local vendor.
  • Work with your architects, engineers, interior designers or other vendors.
  • Manage the project from phase to phase.
  • Check on the vendor’s workmanship to ensure a functional, complete installation.

Think to yourself, if two cameras of similar style were installed would you know the difference in features? Could you even tell if camera “A” has a 1 megapixel lens and camera “B” has an 8 megapixel lens?

As security consultants we have the experience to make decisions to keep the job moving forward while also protecting you “Client” during the process.

An owner’s representative is essential for organizations for the fact that they will receive professional advice on the best ways to secure their facility from professionals with years of technical security experience.
